DOUBLES Beach Volleyball

In just the past few years, Beach Volleyball has enjoyed tremendous growth to become one of the most popular sports in the world. There are over 25 million participants in the United States alone with an annual growth rate of over 10%. Beach Volleyball is the 2nd most popular sport with females 12+ and has been contested as an official Olympic Sport since 1996. American women first won Gold in Athens in 2004 and repeated in Beijing in 2008. Since then, Beach Volleyball has enjoyed tremendous growth becoming a "Lifestyle Sport" with its own unique market comprised of major sponsors, brand loyal fans and consumers. 70% of all Beach Volleyball participants in the USA are in the prized 18-44 demographic. Over 80% are college educated with a yearly median household income of $110,000.... AND 51% are WOMEN.

DOUBLES Beach Volleyball was formed in 2010 to help grow the sport of Women’s Beach Volleyball. DOUBLES is a series of Invitation Only events featuring World Class professional athletes in a single elimination, highly competitive environment. The creation of DOUBLES is growing the Sport and allowing more women to compete on a regular basis, to market their careers through television and other media exposure while competing for higher than average prize purses.

The inaugural DOUBLES event was held during the summer of 2010 and televised as four (4) one-hour programs on FOX Sports Net (FSN). The programs, our Demo and the photo gallery from the inaugural event are available on our site. The 2011 DOUBLES event calendar is nearing completion and will be posted on the site soon.
